Law and Order 100 - Free Challenge

“I don’t know if the baby likes being carried like that.”

Nichols had Wheeler’s baby straddled over his forearm, its feet dangled on either side. The baby’s head rested comfortably in Nichols’ palm.

“Why not?” he asked.

“It just doesn't look very comfortable.”

“But the baby is cooing!”

She was about to protest again when Nichols said: “go get some rest! Obi Wan and I are continuing our flight.”

“Obi Wan?”

“Obi Wan Kenobi. That’s my nickname for the baby.”

“Uh...”

“That’s right! We’re just flying fancy free.”

They flew back down the hall, the baby giggling all the way.

A/N: This was my dad's nickname for me when I was a baby and this is also how he carried us around. Babies love it, it seems. Or maybe that was just us...

Sorry for any mistakes...the typing window is underneath the old comments, so I can't read what I'm typing. Is it me, or is there a problem with this layout?

Anyway, I don't see a ship between them, but I love the interplay between Wheeler and Nichols. I can see him helping her with the baby. :D Nice job.

Hmm.... well I can see your comment in it's entirety and nothing looks wrong... I don't think that there's a problem but I have been told that if you have an older computer, the layout takes awhile to load. :S

I love their cuteness but I am trying not to write "shipper" fics until something happens for sure, but it's so hard when they're so cute together. :)

No, it's not an older computer and the layout doesn't take long to load. :) After I read your entry, I clicked on Tell me a story/post a comment. The first person's comment (justanotherfic) was layered on top of the text reply box, so I couldn't really see what I was typing. Try clicking on post a comment under your entry and see if it happens for you.

Hmm. I did try that and the text box looks normal. i had to scroll down a bit to see the whole box because it's cut off by the window's setting. I'm not really sure why this is happening. :S

Nicely done. My husband did the same with our babies--a gianrt of a man gently holding a tiny precious bundle, You brought back memories. Made me smile. How great is that.
